Developments In Month 6

Intro: Your baby is six months old- what an adventure! Hello, I’m Dr Heal and today we will talk about your baby’s new development and growth happening this month!

Key information- In this sixth month, your baby weighs between 5.8 and 9.7 kg and is growing fast! Their ability to focus on objects at a distance improves, known as depth perception, helping them spot toys or even recognize people across the room. They’ll start babbling, laughing, and gurgling more, and might even say their first words! As their teeth continue to grow, so expect some crankiness, swollen gums, and drooling. Keep an eye on everything they put in their mouth!
Your little one is getting 14-15 hours of sleep, and when they’re awake, they love playing with toys that have different textures, musical instruments, and those that move or light up.  They may also be able to sit up with support. Be sure to take them out for daily walks— they’ll enjoy observing their surroundings and engaging with others!

Conclusion-  Always remember that you're not alone- You can connect with an Apollo doctor online or post your doubts and concerns on our community page. You've got this, Supermom!
