WEEK- 9 of Pregnancy

Intro:
Hello, Supermom-to-be! I’m Dr. Heal, and welcome to Week 9 of your pregnancy journey. Today we’ll talk about what’s happening and how you can support your body during this important stage.

Key Information:
Your baby has now doubled in size and now looks like a tiny human, complete with earlobes, fingers, and toes. Your baby's genitals are also starting to take shape. Their joints are moving, and they might even start thumb-sucking. Your little one’s growth is picking up speed, and they’re now the size of a cherry. Isn’t that amazing?

At 9 weeks, pregnancy hormones are at their peak, so you may feel the symptoms intensely. You’ll feel mood swings, morning sickness, and fatigue coming along. Frequent urination is normal as your uterus expands and headaches may also appear due to hormone surges. Some women may suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) during this time, a pregnancy complication that causes severe nausea and vomiting that can lead to weight loss and dehydration

Conclusion:
If you face this, your doctor might suggest an IV or prescription medicines to tackle nausea. Meanwhile, our Apollo doctors and community are here to support you every step of the way. You’ve got this supermom!
