Conclusion

Welcome to Week 5 of pregnancy, Supermom! This week, your baby’s cells are producing the hormone hCG, signalling your ovaries to support the pregnancy. The baby’s cells form three layers, which will develop into essential organs like the skin, heart, and lungs. You may notice early symptoms like sore breasts, morning sickness, and fatigue. Stay hydrated, eat well, and rest as much as you can. Remember, the Apollo doctors and our community are here to support you every step of the way!

WEEK- 5 of Pregnancy

Intro:
Welcome to the week 5 of your pregnancy, Supermom! I’m Dr. Heal, and today, we will dive into the changes your body will undergo in this fifth week of pregnancy!

Key Information:
This week, your baby’s cells start making a hormone called hCG. This tells your ovaries to stop releasing eggs and produce more estrogen and progesterone- the hormones that support pregnancy. The baby’s cells form three layers that will become important parts like the skin, heart, nervous system, and lungs.
Your body is working hard right now, and you might feel your breasts getting sore, morning sickness, and overwhelming tiredness. You may also have to take trips to the bathroom, and feel mild cramps, or light spotting- these are usually normal symptoms. It's important to avoid certain foods like unpasteurized dairy, raw meat, eggs, fish, and bean sprouts to keep you and your baby safe. Make sure to get plenty of rest, eat nourishing foods, and stay hydrated.

Conclusion:
Take time for yourself, get plenty of rest, and focus on keeping your body healthy. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Apollo doctors and our community- we’re always here to support you! You’ve got this supermom!
