WEEK- 37 of Pregnancy

Intro:
Congratulations on the 37th week of your pregnancy! I’m Dr. Heal, and today, we’ll talk about the milestones you and your baby are crossing this week!

Key Information:
Week 37 is fun for your baby as they practice inhaling, sucking, and blinking movements. Their toenails have now been fully formed, and are soft and flexible. In other news, your baby is forming their first poop, called meconium. To prepare for birth, your baby's head might start descending into your pelvis.
Your cervix is extra sensitive right now, so you might observe blood spotting in your panties this week. New stretch marks may also appear on your belly as it expands. Your abdomen may be in pain due to the pressure, and there’ll be a greater urge to pee. Nausea and Braxton Hicks contractions appear regularly. At this stage, you need to be aware of these signs of labor which include a lot of mucus being discharged in your underwear, back pain, regular contractions being five minutes apart, and your water breaking.

Conclusion:
Short walks are one of the best forms of physical activity because it’s gentle on your body. Apply hyaluronic acid on your belly to moisturize safely. If you feel very queasy, get some ginger and stay hydrated. And If you have questions or need advice, Apollo doctors and our supportive community are always here for you. You’ve got this supermom!
