WEEK- 32 of Pregnancy

Intro:
Welcome to week 32 of pregnancy! I’m Dr. Heal, and today we’ll dive into the changes happening inside your body during the 32nd week of pregnancy.

Key Information:
At this stage, your baby loves to learn new things about the environment around them. They can now properly process and hear the sounds coming in from outside the womb. Stimulating them early on with meaningful speech and music helps them develop their brain early on. Your little one is also accumulating and storing fat actively now, which may result in them being more cramped up in your womb.
At the same time, your Braxton Hicks contractions are getting more frequent and stronger. They can be a bit uncomfortable but should go away with movement. If they get more intense and more frequent, give a call to your doctor. Your areolas on the breasts may get darker, thanks to all the hormonal changes. Heartburn, backaches, leg cramps, and vaginal discharge are common occurrences at this point. But if you think your vaginal discharge seems more watery than usual and is appearing more constantly, it is a possibility that you might’ve broken your water which has caused a slow leak. If this happens, visit the hospital immediately.

Conclusion:
Avoid heartburn by eating healthy, small yet frequent meals. Make sure to keep up with your hygiene and wear clean, cotton underwear to avoid any infections. And If you have questions or need advice, Apollo doctors and our supportive community are always here for you. You’ve got this supermom!
