Conclusion

At 22 weeks, your baby is swallowing amniotic fluid, developing taste buds, and building white fat under their skin. You might notice changes too—like a popped-out belly button, extra vaginal discharge, mild swelling in your feet, or even thicker or thinner hair! Backaches are common, but a body pillow or heating pad can help. Keep up your calcium and iron intake to support your growing baby. Want to know more? WEEK- 22 of Pregnancy

Intro:
Welcome to Week 22 of your pregnancy journey! I’m Dr. Heal, and let me walk you through what’s happening inside your body during the twenty-second week of pregnancy.

Key Information:
Your baby is now swallowing small amounts of the amniotic fluid. Their taste buds are developing and it could be influenced by what you eat. Additionally, white fat starts accumulating under your baby’s skin.
At 22 weeks, your belly button might pop out as your bump grows, but it’ll go back to normal after birth. Extra vaginal discharge is normal due to all the increased blood flow. Mild swelling in feet is common, which is relieved on rest but let your doctor know if it gets worse. You’ll also feel your back ache from the extra weight in your body, and a heating pad or body pillow can help. You might also notice changes in your hair, some people end up growing thick, lustrous hair. Other people end up with thin, limp hair.

Conclusion:
Make sure to keep eating foods with plenty of calcium and iron to keep yourself and your baby healthy. Always remember- you’re never alone- our Apollo doctors and community are always here to guide you. You’ve got this supermom!
