WEEK- 13 of Pregnancy
Intro:
Welcome to week 13 of pregnancy! I’m Dr. Heal, and today we’ll dive into the changes happening inside your body during the thirteenth week of pregnancy.

Key Information:
Your little one is growing quickly and they’re as big right now! Your little one’s kidney is now making urine that mixes with the amniotic fluid, which they may also swallow. Don’t worry, this is a completely safe thing for your baby to do while in the womb. Additionally, their bones and teeth are hardening and becoming denser.
At 13 weeks, your uterus is growing and making your belly start to show. As it stretches, you might notice some itchy skin or stretch marks, so keep your skin moisturized to stay comfy. The good news is, that you’re likely feeling less nausea and more energy as you step into the second trimester, though some indigestion and tiredness might stick around. If you notice a little spotting, don’t worry- it’s normal because your cervix is more sensitive. Just keep an eye out, and if the bleeding feels like a period, give your doctor a call!

Conclusion:
Make sure to strengthen your pelvic area with prenatal yoga, guided exercises, and light walks to reduce post-birth issues. Don’t skip a nutritious breakfast to kickstart your day with essential nutrients and always have a balanced meal. If you have questions or need advice, Apollo doctors and our supportive community are always here for you. You’ve got this supermom!
