Developments In Month 3

Intro: Cheers to the milestones and excitement that Month 3 brings! Hello, I’m Dr. Heal! Today we will talk about your baby’s development during this month.

Key information- In this 3rd month, your baby is growing rapidly, weighing between 4.6 and 7.9 kg. By now, they’re becoming more active, social, and curious about the world around them. You might notice them mimicking through cooing noises and responding with heartwarming smiles when they hear your voice. Your little one is also getting stronger- they can lift their head and chest during tummy time, grasp toys around them, and even push down with their feet when held upright! Their visual and cognitive skills are improving too! Your little one is starting to track moving objects, recognize faces, and notice colours, making playtime even more enjoyable for both of you.
By now, your baby may be sleeping around 15 hours a day. While awake, encourage them to admire their reflection in a mirror, and talk and sing to them to improve their communication skills. Tummy time is also important for strengthening muscles needed for crawling.

Conclusion-  Rest your wrists and use a baby carrier to ease the strain while carrying your little one. Drink plenty of water and eat balanced meals to keep your energy up. You can always connect with an Apollo doctor online or post your doubts and concerns on our community page if you ever have a query. You've got this, Supermom!
