Ondem Injection 10 x 2 ml is an antiemetic used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. Nausea is a feeling of uneasiness in the stomach that often comes before vomiting. On the other hand, vomiting is the forcible voluntary or involuntary emptying of stomach contents through the mouth.
Ondem Injection 10 x 2 ml contains Ondansetron which works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain. Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting.
Ondem Injection 10 x 2 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, Ondem Injection 10 x 2 ml may cause headache, constipation, a feeling of warmth or flushing, redness, and irritation at the site of injection. Most of these side effects of Ondem Injection 10 x 2 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
