Emeset 2 mg Juicy Lemon Flavour Syrup is an antiemetic medicine. It is used in the treatment of paediatric gastroenteritis in infants and children aged 6 months to 12 years. It is also used in the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with moderately emetogenic cancer chemotherapy in children aged six months and above. Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which a person feels an urge to vomit, while vomiting is the natural response to the body to forcefully discharge the stomach contents.
Emeset 2 mg Juicy Lemon Flavour Syrup contains 'Ondanestron', which belongs to serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of a chemical called serotonin in the body, which is responsible for causing nausea and vomiting. As a result, Emeset 2 mg Juicy Lemon Flavour Syrup prevents the sensation of nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy.
