Treatment of gastric/stomach cancer

Medicinal Benefits

Tegoyes 5.8mg/15.8mg/20mg Capsule is indicated in the treatment of stomach/gastric cancer. Tegoyes 5.8mg/15.8mg/20mg Capsule contains Tegafur, Gimeracil and Oteracil. Tegafur is converted into the active drug 5FU (fluorouracil) in the liver and then absorbed by tumour cells. It inhibits the synthesis of genetic material (DNA and RNA) and prevents the growth of cancer cells. Gimeracil prevents the degradation of 5FU, and Oteracil inhibits the gastrointestinal toxicity of 5FU. Together, Tegoyes 5.8mg/15.8mg/20mg Capsule helps treat stomach cancer.
