Ketorol-DT Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) indicated for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute postoperative pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, which causes uncomfortable sensations in the body.
 
Ketorol-DT Tablet contains 'ketorolac tromethamine', which works by inhibiting the synthesis of certain chemical messengers in the body, such as prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Thereby, Ketorol-DT Tablet helps provide relief from pain.
 
In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhoea, constipation, gas, and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Avoid taking Ketorol-DT Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ketorol-DT Tablet should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol with Ketorol-DT Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness; it might also increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break it.

Do not take Ketorol-DT Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents; if you have/had asthma, severe heart problems, stomach ulcer or perforation, bleeding problems such as bleeding from the stomach, intestine or brain, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, or inflammation of intestines. Ketorol-DT Tablet can increase your risk of a fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not take Ketorol-DT Tablet . Inform your doctor if you have or had high blood pressure, heart problems, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, liver and kidney problems. Avoid taking Ketorol-DT Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ketorol-DT Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Ketorol-DT Tablet is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Stop taking Ketorol-DT Tablet and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach, such as blood in stools. Do not take any other NSAIDs for pain relief along with Ketorol-DT Tablet unless prescribed.
