XYLOMETAZOLINE+SORBITOL

About

SORBITOL+XYLOMETAZOLINE belongs to the class of 'decongestants and antihistamines', primarily used to treat nasal congestion (blocked nose) in common cold, sinusitis, hay fever, perennial and allergic rhinitis. Sinusitis is the inflammation of the lining of sinuses. Allergic rhinitis is inflammation and allergy of the nose that is caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mold, or flakes of skin from certain animals.

SORBITOL+XYLOMETAZOLINE consists of two medicines: Xylometazoline and Sorbitol. Xylometazoline belongs to the class of 'decongestants'. It works by easing the inflammation and blocking of nasal passages by narrowing the blood vessels (vasoconstriction) and thus provides temporary relief from nasal congestion and blockage. Sorbitol is used to moisturize the nasal mucosa and prevents dryness and irritation in the nose.
