Otrivin Moisturising Adult Nasal Drops consists of two medicines: Xylometazoline and Sorbitol. Xylometazoline belongs to the class of 'decongestants'. Sorbitol is used to moisturize the nasal mucosa and prevents dryness and irritation in the nose.

The common side effects of Otrivin Moisturising Adult Nasal Drops include temporary burning sensation, stinging, dryness in the nose, runny nose, and sneezing. Most of these side effects of Otrivin Moisturising Adult Nasal Drops do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.

Otrivin Moisturising Adult Nasal Drops is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Otrivin Moisturising Adult Nasal Drops may interact with antidepressants (amitriptyline, isocarboxazid), drugs to treat Parkinson's disease (rasagiline), pigments (methylene blue), antibiotics (linezolid), chemotherapy medicines (procarbazine), and blood pressure medicines (guanethidine).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid cold foods and drinks to ease your nasal congestion.
