About Rzover DSR Capsule

Rzover DSR Capsule belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat acidity, heartburn, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, nausea, vomiting, the fullness of stomach, bloating, gas, helicobacter pylori infection, gastric and duodenal ulcers. Acidity occurs when the gastric glands produce more stomach acid required for digestion.

Rzover DSR Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Rabeprazole sodium (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Rabeprazole sodium works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid. Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of the stomach muscle. Together, Rzover DSR Capsule helps in treating acidity-related problems.

Take Rzover DSR Capsule 30-60minutes prior to food. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Rzover DSR Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor before taking Rzover DSR Capsule if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or intestinal obstruction. Talk to your doctor before taking Rzover DSR Capsule if you have osteoporosis as Rzover DSR Capsule may increase the risk of bone fractures on long-term treatment. Consult your doctor before taking Rzover DSR Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Rzover DSR Capsule may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Rzover DSR Capsule should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Acidity: The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, the mucous layer gets eroded due to excess acid production, which leads to complications like GERD, heartburn, peptic/gastric ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). This backflow (acid reflux) irritates the food pipe and causes heartburn. Symptoms include heartburn, a sour or bitter taste, and difficulty swallowing. Gastric ulcers are sores that develop on the stomach and intestine lining due to erosion of the stomach's protective lining. Symptoms include nausea, changes in appetite, bloody or dark stools, unexplained weight loss, vomiting, and indigestion. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is characterised by the formation of tumours in the upper part of the small intestine, which leads to excess acid production. Symptoms include bloating, burping, weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting.
