Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm contains Clobetasol propionate (corticosteroid) and Salicylic acid (peeling agent). Clobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic medicine (that softens, separates, and causes peeling of the cornified epithelium or horny layer of skin). It increases the amount of moisture in the skin and dissolves the substance that causes the skin cells to stick together.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate use of Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm that suits your infection. Common side effects of Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm include itching, dryness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and gradually resolve over time. If the side effects are persistent, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are sensitive to Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm or any other medications. Do not use Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm on open wounds, blisters, and lesions. Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm is for topical (for skin) use only. Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have blood circulation problems, active skin infections, and chickenpox. Prolonged use of steroid containing medicines leads to skin sensitisation and the development of resistant organisms. Do not cover the affected areas with occlusive dressings while using Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm. Avoid applying Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Topical usage of corticosteroids like Clobetasol propionate in pregnant women should be used with caution under a doctor's supervision. Let your doctor know if you are a lactating mother before using Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm. If you apply Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm to breasts or nipples for treatment, wash it off while nursing your baby. Do not go near naked flames since the fabric that comes in contact with Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm may burn easily. Washing the fabric may decrease the risk, but it does not remove the product completely. Do not store Praisvate-S3 Ointment 20 gm above 25°C.

• Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
• Always wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid further sweat and spread of skin infection.
• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• Do not walk barefoot at places like gym showers to prevent infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bed sheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
