About Ninlib 150 mg Capsule

Ninlib 150 mg Capsule belongs to the class of anticancer drugs called tyrosine kinase inhibitors used in the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML). Ph+ CML is a type of blood cancer that causes white blood cells to behave differently.

Ninlib 150 mg Capsule contains Nilotinib which works by blocking the action of an abnormal protein (Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase) produced by an abnormal Philadelphia chromosome that signals abnormal white blood cells (cancerous cells) to multiply. Thereby, it stops the multiplication and inhibits the growth of cancerous cells and then causes the death of these cells.

Take Ninlib 150 mg Capsule as prescribed. You are recommended to take Ninlib 150 mg Capsule for as long as your doctor has advised it for you based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Ninlib 150 mg Capsule may cause common side effects such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, constipation, tiredness, and muscle and joint pain. Most of these side effects of Ninlib 150 mg Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Nilotinib or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You are recommended to use effective contraceptive methods while taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule and for two weeks after completing the course of Ninlib 150 mg Capsule . Ninlib 150 mg Capsule is not recommended for children below one year of age. Uses of Ninlib 150 mg Capsule

Treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML)

Directions for Use

Take this medicine on an empty stomach or as advised by the doctor. Avoid eating food for at least 2 hours before taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule and avoid eating for at least 1 hour after taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule . Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. If you are unable to swallow it, open the capsule and sprinkle the contents in 1 teaspoon of applesauce and take it right away (within 15 minutes). Do not use more than one teaspoon of apple sauce for each capsule, and do not use any food other than apple sauce.

Therefore, if you have yellow skin and eyes, dark-coloured urine, or stomach pain while taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule , contact your doctor immediately, as these might be symptoms of liver problems. Inform your doctor if you have a severe problem with lactose (milk sugar) or other sugars as Ninlib 150 mg Capsule may contain lactose. Most people who have mild or moderate lactose intolerance can take Ninlib 150 mg Capsule . Avoid taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule if you have low levels of magnesium or potassium in the blood or long QTc syndrome. If you have had a surgical procedure involving the removal of the entire stomach (total gastrectomy), inform your doctor before taking Ninlib 150 mg Capsule .
