Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce the risk of stroke in patients with high blood pressure. Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination medication generally used when a single medicine cannot control high blood pressure. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a life-long or chronic condition in which the force exerted against the artery wall becomes too high. It can lead to the risk of heart diseases like heart attack and stroke.

Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet contains nebivolol and hydrochlorothiazide. Nebivolol is a beta blocker that works on the heart, particularly to lower heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. The diuretic hydrochlorothiazide lowers blood pressure by removing excess water and electrolytes from the body. It also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow over time.

You may experience nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, fatigue, headache, dizziness, decreased potassium level in the blood, increased blood uric acid, altered blood lipid level, breathlessness, swelling of hands & feet, paresthesia (burning sensation of the skin), decreased magnesium level in the blood, increased calcium level in blood. Most of these side effects of Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet, inform your doctor about your medical history and other medications you are currently taking to rule out any potential negative effects. It is recommended not to take Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Before using Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney disease, eye problem (glaucoma), asthma, increased uric acid level (gout), diabetes, hyperlipidemia (increased level of lipid) or hyperthyroidism (increased level of thyroid). Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet should not be given to people allergic to Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet, have low blood pressure (less than 90 mm of Hg), have had a heart attack, kidney disease, liver disease, pregnant women or planning to get pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is contraindicated in low blood pressure (hypotension) and aortic stenosis (heart valve problem). Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet can pass into breast milk, but its effect on the baby is unknown. So, it is better to tell your doctor if you take Nebifast H 5mg/12.5mg Tablet and breastfeeding.
