Mprol AM 5mg/50mg Tablet is an antihypertensive agent used to treat high blood pressure/hypertension and angina pectoris. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Angina is basically a pain in the heart and chest. 

Mprol AM 5mg/50mg Tablet contains Metoprolol succinate and Amlodipine. Metoprolol succinate works by slowing down the heart rate, thereby making it more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Amlodipine relaxes the blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow. Together, Mprol AM 5mg/50mg Tablet helps treat high blood pressure.

Take Mprol AM 5mg/50mg Tablet as prescribed. In some cases, Mprol AM 5mg/50mg Tablet may cause certain common side effects such as tiredness, dizziness, headache, ankle swelling and slow heart rate.
