Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet belongs to a class of drugs called 'antacids' used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is characterized by the formation of tumours in the upper part of the small intestine, which leads to excess acid production.

Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet is a combination of two medicines, namely: 'Domperidone' and 'Lansoprazole'. Domperidone increases food movement in the stomach, which helps avoid the problems related to indigestion, bloating, and fullness. This medicine also restricts the action of a chemical that is responsible for the feeling of vomiting and nausea. On the other side, Lansoprazole works by blocking the action of proton pumps that are involved in producing stomach acid. Thereby, Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach and prevents excess acid from flowing back into the food pipe. Thus, both medicines in combination provide relief from heartburn symptoms related to acid reflux.

Take Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. You may experience diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, stomach pain, or constipation in some cases. Most of these side effects of Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness were not established. It also treats vomiting and nausea caused by the usage of other medications. While Lansoprazole helps reduce frequent heartburn that happens for 2 or more days.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet may interact with the anti-HIV drug (atazanavir), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), anticancer drug (methotrexate), heart-related medicine (digoxin), and blood thinner (warfarin).

Drug-Food Interactions: Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet may interact with St. John’s wort (herbal supplement used to treat depression). Avoid alcohol consumption as alcohol intake leads to increased stomach acid production, thereby irritating the stomach lining and worsening the symptoms.

Drug-Disease Interactions: If you have a stomach tumor, liver problems, low magnesium levels in the blood, osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), or lupus (an autoimmune disorder), inform your doctor before taking Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet .

• Avoid foods such as high-fat food, spicy food, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomato, onion, garlic, tea, and soda.
• Avoid sitting continuously as it may trigger acidity. Take a break of 5 minutes every hour by doing brisk walking or stretching.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increases acidity and heartburn.

• Regular blood tests are recommended while taking Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet to monitor magnesium levels in the blood.
• Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet may cause some abnormal liver enzyme and blood values. These changes are temporary and may return to normal after treatment with Lanzeon-D Kid Tablet is discontinued.
