About Nonoxynol
Nonoxynol is a spermicidal contraceptive used to prevent pregnancy. Pregnancy is the period in which the fetus develops inside the womb or uterus of a woman. It occurs when a sperm fertilizes an egg.
Nonoxynol contains Nonoxynol-9, which breaks the outer covering of sperms and kills them. Thereby, it prevents pregnancy.
Use Nonoxynol as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vaginal irritation, burning, bad-smelling vaginal discharge, or difficulty in urination. Most of these side effects of Nonoxynol do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
