Dimethicone contains ‘Dimethicone’. It works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles to release the gas more efficiently. It facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It helps to reduce abdominal pain caused by gas formation.
You should take this medicine strictly as the physician advises. The common side effects of Dimethicone are stomach upset and diarrhoea. These side effects are mild and temporary. However, if any of these side effects persist or worsen, inform your physician immediately.
