Lidocaine+diltiazem
About Lidocaine+diltiazem
Diltiazem+lidocaine is used to treat anal fissures, haemorrhoids, and other related rectal or anal discomforts. An anal fissure is an incision in the anus or anal canal lining. The sign of an anal fissure is pain during or after a bowel movement.
Diltiazem+lidocaine contains Lidocaine and diltiazem. Lidocaine relieves pain by temporarily numbing the skin or the area where it is applied. Diltiazem works by relaxing the muscle around the anus (anal sphincter), reducing anal pressure, and increasing blood flow to the area for healing.
Sometimes, Diltiazem+lidocaine may cause side effects like application site reactions (burning sensation, itching), headache, nausea, lightheadedness, or dizziness. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.
Diltiazem+lidocaine is for external use only. Inform your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients of Diltiazem+lidocaine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Diltiazem+lidocaine may cause light-headedness or dizziness; hence, it is recommended not to drive or operate machinery until you are mentally alert.
