About Clotrimazole+tinidazole
Clotrimazole+tinidazole is used to treat vaginal discharge. Bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are all potential causes of vaginal discharge infections. The discharge may have an odd colour, smell, or consistency.
Clotrimazole+tinidazole contains two medicines, Clotrimazole and Tinidazole. Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent primarily used for the treatment of fungal infections caused by vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection) which works by disrupting the cell membrane of fungi, inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This leads to fungal cell death. Tinidazole is an antibiotic or antiprotozoal which kills amoeba and parasites by disrupting the DNA of microorganisms, thereby stopping the growth of certain bacteria and protozoa. Thus, Clotrimazole+tinidazole helps treat fungal infections.

In some cases, you may experience some common side effects such as a burning sensation, irritation, itching in the vaginal area and redness or peeling of the skin. However, these side effects are mild and temporary. Consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
