Seradic Gel is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, tendonitis, joint pain, muscle stiffness, back pain, bursitis (inflammation of the bursae), lumbago (low back pain), neck, hand, and shoulder pain. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure, or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments.
Seradic Gel contains Diclofenac diethylamine, oleum lini, methyl salicylate, and menthol. Diclofenac diethylamine and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Oleum lini prevents inflammation by improving blood circulation. Menthol provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. Together, Seradic Gel helps in providing relief from pain.
You are advised to use Seradic Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience common side-effects such as application site reactions like itching, irritation, redness, and burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Seradic Gel is for external use only. Inform your doctor if you have had any recent heart surgery, stomach ulcers, and bleeding problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seradic Gel is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid contact of Seradic Gel with eyes, nose, or mouth. If contact occurs, rinse with water thoroughly.
