About Geomax D3 Tablet

Geomax D3 Tablet is a ‘Nutritional Supplements’ used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is primarily used to treat, improve, control, and prevent various complications or long-term diseases. It is used to treat anaemia, respiratory illnesses, brain and spinal cord disorders, heart diseases, kidney diseases, skin problems, hormonal disorders, and immune system problems.

Geomax D3 Tablet contains Methylcobalamin, Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate, Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Boron, Folic acid, and Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Methylcobalamin, a form of vitamin B12, protects the nerves from damage and promotes blood cell production. Calcitriol (synthetic vitamin D) and Calcium carbonate help promote bone health and treat calcium deficiency. Boron is a mineral that helps in building strong bones and improving learning abilities, especially in children.  Folic Acid is also known as folate or vitamin B9. It helps in producing blood (haemoglobin) in the body. DHA and EPA are omega-3 fatty acids (oils) that reduce excess cholesterol levels in the body, thereby keeping the heart, brain, and nerves healthy.

You should take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Geomax D3 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea (feeling sick), vomiting (being sick), diarrhoea, anorexia (loss of appetite), headache, weight loss, fatigue, bloating, and flatulence. Drug Warnings

Geomax D3 Tablet may alter calcium levels, so, it is recommended to monitor calcium levels regularly in the blood and urine. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice fever, increase in thirst and urination, dehydration, bedwetting, constipation, and stomach pain, as they may a sign of very high levels of calcium in your blood.

Drug-Drug interactions: Geomax D3 Tablet may interact with other medicines containing vitamin D, blood thinners (warfarin, clopidogrel, and aspirin), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, ciprofloxacin, lomefloxacin, norfloxacin, sparfloxacin, and tetracycline), anti-gout medication (colchicine), a medicine used to treat diabetes (metformin), antacids, medicines used to treat high blood pressure (bendroflumethiazide, chlorthalidone, indapamide, enalapril, losartan, and valsartan), a medicine used to treat thyroid deficiency (levothyroxine), a medicine used to treat cancer (fluorouracil), a medicine used to treat heart disease (digoxin), medicines containing iron or zinc, medicines used to treat osteoporosis, steroid medicines (hydrocortisone, prednisolone, and dexamethasone), medicines used to treat fits (phenytoin, phenobarbital, and primidone), and medicine used to treat high cholesterol (cholestyramine).

Drug-Food interactions: Do not take foods fortified with vitamin D and also avoid a high intake of dairy products such as milk, ghee, and cheese.

Drug-Disease interactions: Geomax D3 Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with bleeding disorders, hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood), metastatic calcification (extra deposits of calcium in the body), kidney problems, high blood pressure, cancer, optic nerve damage, and high levels of vitamin D.
