About Gastigo Tablet

Gastigo Tablet belongs to the class of 'digestive enzymes' primarily used to treat gas, bloating, and stomach pain. Gas is the build-up of air in the digestive tract. Bloating is the swelling or a feeling of fullness in the abdomen due to gas in the stomach and intestines.

Gastigo Tablet contains Alpha Galactosidase and Simethicone. Alpha Galactosidase is a digestive enzyme that breaks down starch into simple sugars to easily digest starch, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Simethicone is an anti-gas (anti-flatulence) medicine that lowers the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

Use Gastigo Tablet in the dose and duration suggested by your doctor. Gastigo Tablet is generally safe to use. However, some may experience side effects like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. Although not everyone experiences these side effects, please seek medical attention if these effects occur.

Let your doctor know if you have any medical history, including liver/kidney diseases, allergic reactions to medicines, diabetes, swallowing problems, frequent alcohol use, dehydration, and stomach disorders, before starting Gastigo Tablet . Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Gastigo Tablet with proper consultation and caution. Drinking alcohol may result in increased bloating; hence please avoid it while taking this medicine. Gastigo Tablet is recommended for children only when your doctor suggested it.
