Calcimax Forte+ Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiency. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb/get enough nutrients from food. Calcimax Forte+ Tablet may be used in the management of hypocalcaemia in patients undergoing dialysis, post-menopausal osteoporosis, low calcium levels in hypoparathyroidism, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, renal tubular osteocalcaemia, vitamin D dependant rickets, hypocalcaemia and hypomagnesaemia.
 
Calcimax Forte+ Tablet is a combination of four supplements: Calcium carbonate, cholecalciferol, magnesium hydroxide and zinc. Calcium carbonate makes the bones stronger by increasing their density. It helps in treating and preventing low calcium levels. Cholecalciferol is a form of vitamin D which helps in the absorption of calcium. Magnesium hydroxide aids in the absorption of calcium by converting vitamin D into its active form. Zinc is necessary for bone-building cells, normal growth, and tissue repair. Together, Calcimax Forte+ Tablet helps in strengthening of bones.
 
You are advised to take Calcimax Forte+ Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you, depending on your medical condition. Calcimax Forte+ Tablet can be taken with levothyroxine if advised by the doctor. Calcium might lower the effectiveness of levothyroxine, therefore, maintain a gap of 4hours between Calcimax Forte+ Tablet and levothyroxine.
