Buscogast Plus Tablet is used to relieve abdominal pain/cramps. It contains Hyoscine butylbromide and paracetamol which relaxes the muscles of the stomach and intestine and relieves abdominal cramps. It may cause side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and a slow heart rate. About Buscogast Plus Tablet

Buscogast Plus Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents used to relieve abdominal pain/cramps. Abdominal pain occurs between the chest and pelvic region, generally known as stomach or tummy pain. The common causes of abdominal pain include inflammation, infections, intestinal disorders and obstruction/blockage.

Buscogast Plus Tablet contains Hyoscine butylbromide and paracetamol. Hyoscine butylbromide works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and intestine. Paracetamol is a pain reliever (analgesic) that prevents the release of chemical messengers that result in pain. Together, Buscogast Plus Tablet relieves abdominal cramps.

You are advised to take Buscogast Plus Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. In some cases, Buscogast Plus Tablet may cause dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and a slow heart rate. Most of these side effects of Buscogast Plus Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Buscogast Plus Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Directions for Use

Swallow Buscogast Plus Tablet as a whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Buscogast Plus Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Buscogast Plus Tablet , inform your doctor if you have a fast/slow heart rate, heart, liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), thyroid problems, difficulty passing urine, constipation, fever, stomach or intestinal blockade. It is advisable not to take Buscogast Plus Tablet if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. 

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interactions: Buscogast Plus Tablet may interact with medicines to control heartbeat (quinidine, disopyramide), medicines for severe mental illness (haloperidol, fluphenazine), medicines used for breathing problems (tiotropium, ipratropium, atropine), medicines for nausea (metoclopramide), medicines for depression (doxepin).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have severe liver and kidney failure, narrow-angle glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye), enlarged prostate gland, inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal system (gut), blockage in the small intestine (pyloric stenosis), or rapid heart rate.
