Belic Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents used to relieve abdominal pain/cramps. Abdominal pain occurs between the chest and pelvic region, generally known as stomach or tummy pain. The common causes of abdominal pain include inflammation, infections, intestinal disorders and obstruction/blockage.
Belic Tablet contains Hyoscine butylbromide and paracetamol. Hyoscine butylbromide works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and intestine. Paracetamol is a pain reliever (analgesic) that prevents the release of chemical messengers that result in pain. Together, Belic Tablet relieves abdominal cramps.
You are advised to take Belic Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. In some cases, Belic Tablet may cause dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and a slow heart rate. Most of these side effects of Belic Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Do not take Belic Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Belic Tablet , inform your doctor if you have a fast/slow heart rate or any other type of heart disease. It is advisable not to take Belic Tablet if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Belic Tablet may cause vision problems. Therefore, drive or operate heavy machinery only if you have clear vision.
