Welminic Oral Drop 15 ml

Welminic Oral Drop is a combination medicine indicated as a nasal decongestant and anti-allergic in paediatric patients. It provides relief from symptoms of a cold, such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching of nose and throat, itchy/watery eyes, nasal congestion, and nasal passage swelling.

Welminic Oral Drop contains Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine. Chlorpheniramine relieves allergy/cold symptoms. Phenylephrine provides relief from congestion. Together, Welminic Oral Drop provides relief from colds and allergies.

In some cases, Welminic Oral Drop may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult the doctor.

Phenylephrine provides relief from congestion and stuffy nose by narrowing the blood vessels in the nose. Together, Welminic Oral Drop provides relief from cold.

Do not use Welminic Oral Drop if your child is allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if your child has heart, kidney or liver problems. Let the doctor know if your child is on any other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.

• Make sure your child is hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
• Gargling with warm salt water may help remove mucus and soothe the throat.
• Avoid exposing the child to irritants such as dust and smoke.
• Include fibre-rich foods, vegetables and fruits in your child’s diet.
• Keep the child away from people with colds. Remind the child to avoid touching the eyes, mouth or throat.
• Teach the child to wash hands frequently.
