Maxtra Syrup is a combination medicine indicated as a nasal decongestant and anti-allergic in paediatric patients. It provides relief from symptoms of a cold, such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching of nose and throat, itchy/watery eyes, nasal congestion, and nasal passage swelling.

Maxtra Syrup contains Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine. Chlorpheniramine relieves allergy/cold symptoms. Phenylephrine provides relief from congestion. Together, Maxtra Syrup provides relief from cold.

In some cases, Maxtra Syrup may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult the doctor.

Chlorpheniramine relieves allergy/cold symptoms such as watery eyes, itching, runny nose, and sneezing by blocking the action of a chemical messenger called histamine. Phenylephrine provides relief from congestion and stuffy nose by narrowing the blood vessels in the nose. Together, Maxtra Syrup provides relief from cold.
