Uniaz T 40 Tablet is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a medical condition in which the blood pressure is elevated persistently in the arteries. High blood pressure is mostly caused by obesity, diabetes, smoking, high salt intake, stress, lack of physical activity or ageing.
Uniaz T 40 Tablet is composed of Azelnidipine and Telmisartan. Azelnidipine blocks the activity of the calcium channels present in the blood vessels of the heart. As a result, the blood vessels widen, and the blood supply to the heart increases. Thereby lowering the elevated blood pressure and the workload placed on the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin receptors, thereby allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Together, Uniaz T 40 Tablet helps in treating hypertension.
