Uses of Toroclav SB 1000mg/500mg Injection

Treatment of Bacterial Infections

Medicinal Benefits

Toroclav SB 1000mg/500mg Injection contains Cefpirome (a cephalosporin antibiotic) and Sulbactam (beta-lactamase inhibitor). Cefpirome is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that acts against both aerobic (grow in the presence of oxygen) and anaerobic (grow in the absence of oxygen) bacteria. Sulbactam inhibits the action of beta-lactamase. Beta-lactamase is an enzyme bacteria produce that can destroy antibiotics (cefotaxime). Toroclav SB 1000mg/500mg Injection works by inhibiting the synthesis of the necessary bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) for their survival. This causes damage to the bacterial cell wall and eventually leads to the death of the bacterial cell. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacterial infections.
