TOFISERN 50MG TABLET contains benzodiazepine named Tofisopam, primarily used to treat depression. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger in the brain known as GABA (gamma-amino-butyric-acid), which suppresses the excessive and abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain. As a result, this reduces tension, creates a feeling of well-being, relieves anxiety, helps you sleep better, and increases your energy levels so that you can perform daily activities. It also, in turn, improves the quality of life.

Take TOFISERN 50MG TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take TOFISERN 50MG TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending upon your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, nausea, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), and headache. Most of these side effects of TOFISERN 50MG TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

TOFISERN 50MG TABLET has a very high potential for habit-forming, so take it only in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not abruptly stop taking TOFISERN 50MG TABLET as it might lead to nausea, aggressive behavior, anxiety, confusion. Inform your doctor if you feel better, and accordingly, the dose will be adjusted. It is known to cause drowsiness, so do not operate any machinery or drive a car, as it requires mental focus. Please inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding as it a pregnancy category D drug. Also, alcohol consumption should be avoided as it might increase the drowsiness effect and cause excessive sleepiness.

• Do regular exercise, which can help lower anxiety by releasing endorphins and improving your sleep and self-image.
• Find humour in your daily life. Try to watch light-hearted shows to help relieve stress.
• You can try increasing your mindfulness by including yoga, meditation, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
• Drink enough water to stay hydrated, and limit or avoid alcohol and caffeine to relieve anxiety.
