Nextril 50 Tablet is used to treat depression and associated anxiety with depression. Depression is a mood disorder that mainly affects a person's daily life. It leads to feelings of sadness, anger, or loss that affect the quality of life.  An anxiety disorder is a mental condition characterized by feelings of excessive fear or worry that affect an individual's daily activities. 

Nextril 50 Tablet contains benzodiazepine named Tofisopam, primarily used to treat depression. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger in the brain known as GABA (gamma-amino-butyric-acid), which suppresses the excessive and abnormal activity of nerve cells in the brain. As a result, this reduces tension, creates a feeling of well-being, relieves anxiety, helps you sleep better, and increases your energy levels so that you can perform daily activities. It also, in turn, improves the quality of life.

Take Nextril 50 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Nextril 50 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending upon your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, nausea, insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), and headache. Most of these side effects of Nextril 50 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
