Syntropac Injection 1 ml belongs to the group of medicines called pituitary hormones and analogues used instead of steroids to treat a number of conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthrosis, acute exacerbations of multiple sclerosis, some types of seizures in children, skin diseases responsive to corticoids, and additional therapy in cancer patients to improve the tolerability of chemotherapy. It is also used as a test to check if pituitary and adrenal glands are working properly.
Syntropac Injection 1 ml contains Tetracosactide, which is similar to the hormone that the pituitary gland normally produces (called ACTH) to make the adrenal glands produce certain steroids. Syntropac Injection 1 ml works on the adrenal glands by telling them to produce more steroids.
