About SYCOSE TABLET

SYCOSE TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics used to treat schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a medical condition in which the person may feel, hear or see things that are not there, believe things that are not true, or feel unusually suspicious or confused.

SYCOSE TABLET contains Chlordiazepoxide and Trifluoperazine. Chlordiazepoxide increases the action of a chemical messenger called GABA that suppresses abnormal activity in the brain. Trifluoperazine blocks the action of a chemical messenger called dopamine that affects mood and thoughts.

In some cases, SYCOSE TABLET may cause side effects such as dizziness, tiredness, constipation, dry mouth, and weight gain. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. SYCOSE TABLET may cause dizziness and sedation; do not drive unless you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with SYCOSE TABLET as it may cause severe side effects. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any side effects/interactions.
