Storax Plus Tablet belongs to a group of medications called central nervous system/neuroprotective agents, used as a cognitive enhancing agent by protecting the nerves from damage and improving their survival. Cognitive enhancers are also known as nootropic drugs.
Storax Plus Tablet is a combination of two medications: Citicoline and methylcobalamin. Citicoline increases the chemicals that protect the nerves from damage and improve their survival. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B. It lowers homocysteine levels, a harmful protein that increases blood clot formation and damages blood vessels in the brain. As a result, this medication enhances cognitive functions such as memory, thinking ability, etc.
You can take Storax Plus Tablet with or without food. Swallow Storax Plus Tablet as a whole with water, do not crush or chew the tablet. Depending on your health condition, you are advised to take Storax Plus Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. In some cases, Storax Plus Tablet may cause common side effects such as irregular heartbeats, stomach pain, decreased blood pressure, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Storax Plus Tablet subside with time. However, if these side effects are persistent, consult your healthcare professional.
Do not take Storax Plus Tablet if you have an allergic reaction to Citicoline, methylcobalamin, or any ingredients in Storax Plus Tablet . Before taking Storax Plus Tablet , notify your doctor about your medical condition and other medications you are already taking. Do not take Storax Plus Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Consuming alcohol with Storax Plus Tablet is not advisable as it could lead to unpleasant side effects. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
