Sorbitrate Hf Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called vasodilators used to treat heart failure. Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle does not pump blood normally, including shortness of breath, swollen legs, fatigue and increased heartbeat. In this condition, the heart becomes too weak and cannot pump enough blood and oxygen to the organs and tissues of the body. 

Sorbitrate Hf Tablet contains Isosorbide dinitrate and Hydralazine. Isosorbide dinitrate relaxes the heart's muscles and widens the heart's veins and arteries for easy flow of blood to every part of the body. Hydralazine helps lower raised blood pressure by relaxing and widening the heart's muscles. Together, Sorbitrate Hf Tablet helps treat heart failure.

Take Sorbitrate Hf Tablet as your doctor has prescribed it. In some cases, Sorbitrate Hf Tablet can cause side effects like headache, nausea, dizziness, and lightheadedness (feeling faint). Most of these side effects of Sorbitrate Hf Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Sorbitrate Hf Tablet or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Sorbitrate Hf Tablet , let your doctor know if you have had a heart attack within the last 30 days, low blood pressure, stroke (inadequate blood supply in the brain that causes damage to the brain), or high pressure within the brain. Please do not stop taking Sorbitrate Hf Tablet on your own, as it may lead to the recurrence of symptoms or worsen the condition.

Hydralazine belongs to a group of drugs known as vasodilators, which help lower raised blood pressure by relaxing and widening the heart's blood vessels.

Do not take Sorbitrate Hf Tablet if you have low blood pressure because even a low dose of Sorbitrate Hf Tablet may produce low blood pressure. If you are pregnant or planning any pregnancy, let your doctor know about this before taking Sorbitrate Hf Tablet as it crosses the placenta and can affect the unborn baby (fetus). Do not drive by using this Sorbitrate Hf Tablet because it produces dizziness that may cause an accident. You may experience tingling or numbness, so your doctor may prescribe a vitamin B6 supplement (pyridoxine). Hydralazine passes into breast milk, so its use in lactating mothers should be avoided.

• Consume low salt and a low-fat diet.
• Exercise regularly. It helps in maintaining proper weight and lowers cholesterol.
• Limit salt and sugar intake.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Choose healthy fats and cut down on trans fat.
• Include omega-3 fatty acids, fibre-rich food, fruits, and vegetables.
• Get active by doing physical activities such as swimming, brisk walking, or jogging. Take the stairs instead of elevators/lifts.
