Isozac Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called vasodilators used to treat heart failure. Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle does not pump blood normally, including shortness of breath, swollen legs, fatigue and increased heartbeat. In this condition, the heart becomes too weak and cannot pump enough blood and oxygen to the organs and tissues of the body. 

Isozac Tablet contains Isosorbide dinitrate and Hydralazine. Isosorbide dinitrate relaxes the heart's muscles and widens the heart's veins and arteries for easy flow of blood to every part of the body. Hydralazine helps lower raised blood pressure by relaxing and widening the heart's muscles. Together, Isozac Tablet helps treat heart failure.

Take Isozac Tablet as your doctor has prescribed it. In some cases, Isozac Tablet can cause side effects like headache, nausea, dizziness, and lightheadedness (feeling faint). Most of these side effects of Isozac Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Isozac Tablet or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Isozac Tablet , let your doctor know if you have had a heart attack within the last 30 days, low blood pressure, stroke (inadequate blood supply in the brain that causes damage to the brain), or high pressure within the brain. Please do not stop taking Isozac Tablet on your own, as it may lead to the recurrence of symptoms or worsen the condition.

Do not take Isozac Tablet if you have low blood pressure because even a low dose of Isozac Tablet may produce low blood pressure. If you are pregnant or planning any pregnancy, let your doctor know about this before taking Isozac Tablet as it crosses the placenta and can affect the unborn baby (fetus). Do not drive by using this Isozac Tablet because it produces dizziness that may cause an accident. You may experience tingling or numbness, so your doctor may prescribe a vitamin B6 supplement (pyridoxine). Hydralazine passes into breast milk, so its use in lactating mothers should be avoided. 

Drug-Drug Interactions: Care should be exercised when Isozac Tablet is administered in combination with migraine headache medicines (ergotamine), drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction (inability to get enlarged penis) (sildenafil, tadalafil), pain killers (ibuprofen, naproxen).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Isozac Tablet may interact with disease conditions, including hypotension (low blood pressure) and erectile dysfunction (inability to get an enlarged penis).

• Follow a cholesterol-lowering diet.
• Consume low salt and a low-fat diet.
• Exercise regularly. It helps in maintaining proper weight and lowers cholesterol.
• Limit salt and sugar intake.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Choose healthy fats and cut down on trans fat.
• Include omega-3 fatty acids, fibre-rich food, fruits, and vegetables.
• Get active by doing physical activities such as swimming, brisk walking, or jogging. Take the stairs instead of elevators/lifts.
