Shelcal -OS Tablet 15 is used to treat Vitamin D deficiency, renal osteodystrophy (changes in bone caused by kidney failure), hypoparathyroidism (parathyroid glands make low levels of calcium in the body), hypocalcaemia (low levels of calcium), rickets or osteomalacia (softening or deformation of bones due to lack of calcium).

Shelcal -OS Tablet 15 contains Calcium and Alfacalcidol. Calcium provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Alfacalcidol works by strengthening the bones by increasing the calcium and phosphate levels in the blood.

What if I have taken an overdose of Shelcal -OS Tablet 15

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of Shelcal -OS Tablet 15 overdose may include anorexia (eating disorder), lack of energy, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, weight loss, polyuria (excessive urination), sweating, headache, thirst, vertigo, and raised concentrations of calcium and phosphate in plasma and urine. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
