About Selsi-TV Suspension

Selsi-TV Suspension is a topical combination medication primarily used to treat fungal skin infections, such as seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff) and tinea versicolor (a small patch of discoloured skin). Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin. Symptoms of a fungal infection include a scaly rash and discoloured skin, which is very itchy in nature.

Selsi-TV Suspension is composed of two medicines: 'Clotrimazole' (antifungal) and 'Selenium sulfide' (anti-infective). Clotrimazole works by stopping the growth of the fungi cell by causing damage and leaking out all content, thereby killing it. On the other hand, Selenium sulphide is an anti-infective agent that relieves itching and flaking of the scalp and removes the dry, scaly particles. Besides this, it also reduces skin damage due to infection by decreasing flaking or scaling of the skin, which helps in new skin formation. Together Selsi-TV Suspension treats various fungal skin infections and dandruff from the scalp.

Selsi-TV Suspension is for topical (for skin use) only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or open-cut wounds, immediately rinse with cold water. Selsi-TV Suspension has common side effects like itching, dryness, redness, swelling, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are temporary and resolve during the treatment. However, if these side effects persist, contact a doctor or skin specialist.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Clotrimazole, Selenium sulfide or other antifungal medications. Do not put a dressing or bandage on the affected area since it increases the risk of side effects. Please check with your doctor before using Selsi-TV Suspension to see if you have any liver or kidney diseases or other skin infections. It is advised that pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult the doctor before starting Selsi-TV Suspension.
