Roxizole-IT Capsule is used to lower the increased level of stomach acid. It treats GERD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers. It contains Rabeprazole and Itopride, which blocks acid production and provides relief from heartburn and acid-related digestion. Also, it works on the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling vomiting. It increases the movement of stomach and intestines in the upper digestive tract. Thus, it helps prevent acid reflux, thereby relieving acidity. Sometimes, it may cause common side effects such as headache, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhoea. About Roxizole-IT Capsule

Roxizole-IT Capsule is used to lower the increased level of stomach acid. It treats GERD (gastro-oesophagal reflux disease), and peptic ulcers. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.

Roxizole-IT Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for acid production. It minimizes the release of acid from the stomach, which provides relief from heartburn and acid-related digestion. While Itopride works on the part of the brain that is responsible for controlling vomiting.  It increases gastric emp undying improves gastric sensitivity and tension by increasing the stomach's movement and intestines in the upper digestive tract. It also has anti-emetic action. Together, Roxizole-IT Capsule helps prevent acid reflux, thereby relieving acidity.

Take Roxizole-IT Capsule 30-60 minutes before food. Do not chew or break the tablet; swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. You are advised to take Roxizole-IT Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects such as headache, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor before taking Roxizole-IT Capsule if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical perforation/obstruction, or movement disorder. On long-term treatment, Roxizole-IT Capsule may cause osteoporosis and hypomagnesemia (low levels of magnesium). Do not take Roxizole-IT Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Roxizole-IT Capsule causes drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Roxizole-IT Capsule should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol with Roxizole-IT Capsule as it can lead to increased drowsiness and increased acid production.

On long-term treatment, Roxizole-IT Capsule may cause osteoporosis and hypomagnesemia (low levels of magnesium), and may reduce the absorption of vitamin B12.

Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Roxizole-IT Capsule . Drink enough fluids and eat fibre-rich food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in your stools (tarry stools) or if you experience excess diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while taking Roxizole-IT Capsule as it may lead to increased dizziness. Alcohol intake leads to increased production of stomach acid, thereby increasing acidity and heartburn.
Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.
