About Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet

Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet is used to treat epilepsy (fits) and severe anxiety over a short period. Also, Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet is used in combination with other medicines to treat schizophrenia (a mental illness). Epilepsy (fits) is a disorder in which there is a sudden, uncontrolled disturbance in the electrical activity of nerve cells in the brain. Anxiety is a mental health disorder associated with fear, worry and excessive nervousness. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects the ability of a person to feel, think and behave clearly.

Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet works by increasing the release of GABA (a chemical messenger that acts as a nerve-calming agent) in the brain by acting on GABA receptors. Thereby, Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet prevents fits by stabilizing the electrical activity of nerve cells in the brain. Also, Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet calms nerve cells and helps in reducing anxiety and induces sleep.

Take Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will advise how often you take Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet based on your medical condition. Some people may experience restlessness, irritability, drowsiness, constipation, aggressive behaviour, tiredness or breathing problems. Drug-Drug Interaction: Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet may have interaction with high blood pressure-lowering medicines (nebivolol), pain killers (dihydrocodeine, morphine, codeine), antifungal drug (fluconazole), antipsychotics (pimozide, haloperidol, clozapine, chlorpromazine), sleeping pills (zolpidem), epilepsy or fits related drugs (phenytoin, clonazepam, carbamazepine, valproic acid, levetiracetam, lamotrigine, pregabalin), antidepressants (paroxetine, fluvoxamine, trazodone), antihistamines/antiallergics (diphenhydramine, chlorphenamine, promethazine), anti-anxiety drugs (lorazepam, diazepam, temazepam).

Drug-Food Interaction: Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet may interact with alcohol. Therefore, avoid intake of alcohol while taking Nucloba 5mg Dt Tablet as it may increase side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness or difficulty in concentrating.
