NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET is a combination of two antibiotic drugs, namely: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase, which is required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby killing the bacteria. Together, NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET helps in treating bacterial infections.

Take NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET as prescribed. In some cases, NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, and dizziness. NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET may cause photosensitivity (sensitivity to sunlight) and can make you sunburn easily. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Always wear protective clothing and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before going out.

It is recommended to complete the course of NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.

Co-administration of magnesium and aluminium-containing antacids, sucralfate, and iron-containing preparations with NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET may reduce the absorption. Therefore, you are advised to take NOR METROGYL PLUS TABLET two hours before such preparations.
