About Myosone Plus Tablet

Myosone Plus Tablet belongs to the class of medications called antispasmodics combined with a painkiller used to treat muscle spasms. Muscle spasm is the sudden painful and involuntary muscle contractions, which occur when the nerve impulses that control the muscle movements are damaged or interrupted. It is characterized by muscle tightness, joint stiffness, unusual posture, difficulty moving, and pain in affected muscles and joints.

Myosone Plus Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Eperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (pain killer). Eperisone works by relaxing skeletal muscles and reducing myotonia (inability of muscles to relax). It can relax vascular smooth muscles (smooth muscle found in the wall of blood vessels) and improve blood circulation. It can also suppress pain reflexes. These effects of Myosone Plus Tablet help to reduce pain and spasms in the muscle effectively. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that further prevent the formation of chemical messengers called 'prostaglandins' (PGs). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Collectively, Myosone Plus Tablet helps to reduce pain and spasms in the muscle effectively.

You should take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The common side effects of Myosone Plus Tablet are nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, headache, weakness, drowsiness, and dizziness. Most of these side effects are mild and temporary. However, inform your doctor immediately if any of these side effects persist or get worse.

Before starting Myosone Plus Tablet, please inform your doctor if you have any known allergy Myosone Plus Tablet, heart, kidney, and liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking Myosone Plus Tablet if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy. Do not take Myosone Plus Tablet if you are breastfeeding. Myosone Plus Tablet is not recommended for use in children. Elderly patients may require dose adjustments. Myosone Plus Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Myosone Plus Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness and risk of liver damage.

Uses of Myosone Plus Tablet

Treatment of Muscle spasm

Medicinal Benefits

Myosone Plus Tablet is a combination of two drugs, namely; Eperisone (muscle relaxant) and Paracetamol (painkiller). Eperisone is a muscle relaxant with an analgesic effect. It reduces muscle stiffness and spasticity, enabling the movement of muscles easily. It can be used during rehabilitation (restoring functional ability in people with physical disabilities) as it can allow voluntary movement of the upper and lower extremities without using muscle power. On the other hand, Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). Together, Myosone Plus Tablet helps in relieving pain due to muscle spasms.

Symptoms include muscle tightness, joint stiffness, unusual posture, difficulty moving, pain in affected muscles and joints. Fatigue (weakness), stress, extreme heat or cold, infection and tight clothing can trigger muscle spasms. Muscle relaxants and exercise can treat muscle spasms.
