Minyum 100Mg Inj contains 'Minocycline,' an antibiotic that treats various bacterial infections affecting the eyes, ears, nose, throat, respiratory system (chest infections), skin (acne), prostate, and urinary tract. It works by preventing the synthesis of bacterial proteins, the primary cursors for carrying out bacteria's vital functions. Minyum 100Mg Inj also effectively treats meningitis, acne, upper respiratory tract infections, Q fever or tick fever (bacterial infection caused by the bite of infected ticks), brucellosis (infection spread from animals), and psittacosis (infections spread from birds). It is also used to treat sexually transmitted diseases like syphilis and gonorrhoea.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Minyum 100Mg Inj may interact with anticoagulants, drugs treating skin diseases (acitretin, isotretinoin), antibiotics (penicillin), anaesthetic agents (methoxyflurane), oral contraceptives, antacids, and iron supplements. 

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid dairy products and alcohol while using Minyum 100Mg Inj.

  • Renal, hepatic, and blood function tests are advised during prolonged therapy to rule out any toxicity caused due to overdose of Minyum 100Mg Inj. 
  • Minyum 100Mg Inj may interfere with certain laboratory tests like urine catecholamine levels; hence inform your doctor beforehand that you are using Minyum 100Mg Inj before undergoing any examinations.
  • Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) is reported during the usage of antibiotics like Minocycline. Please consult your doctor if you experience prolonged diarrhoea.
