About Malocide Tablet

Malocide Tablet is an antimalarial medicine used to treat malaria. Malaria is a parasitic disease caused by the Plasmodium species. The infection occurs when a mosquito bites and enters the human body. Malocide Tablet is also used to treat toxoplasmosis (an infection caused by the parasite Toxoplasma gondii).

Malocide Tablet contains Pyrimethamine and Sulphadoxine as active ingredients. Pyrimethamine kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulphadoxine helps prevent the parasite from producing folinic acid, which is necessary for its multiplication.

Malocide Tablet may cause certain side effects such as nausea, dizziness, vomiting, headache, diarrhoea, anorexia, body pain, and stomach discomfort. If these side effects persist, inform your doctor immediately. Malocide Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor.

Malocide Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it or any other artemisinin derivatives. Before taking $ name, inform your doctor if you have/had any conditions such as anaemia, liver/kidney disease, heart problem, or are taking any other medicines, as it may cause serious side effects under these conditions. Pyrimethamine works by increasing the harmful, toxic, and highly reactive free radicals in the blood. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading. Sulphadoxine helps prevent the parasite from producing folinic acid, which is necessary for their multiplication. Malocide Tablet is used to prevent the relapse of malaria caused by plasmodium species.

Swallow the medicine as a whole with water; do not crush or chew it.
