Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called pain killers/analgesic used in the treatment of muscle spasms, menstrual cramps, headache due to stress and tensions, pain due to cancer chemotherapy, pain due to injuries and postoperative (after operation) pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable.

Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet contains two medicines: Flupirtine (painkiller) and Thiocolchicoside (muscle relaxant). Flupirtine is a painkiller/ non-opioid analgesic. It reduces the awareness of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signs to the brain. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that works on the centers of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements, thereby helping relieve pain due to muscle spasms. This Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet is thus better efficient in relieving pain and relax muscles.

Take Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, sleep disturbance, dryness in the mouth, stomach fullness, itching and tremor (shaking of the hands and feet). Most of these side effects of Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet should not be taken if you are known to be allergic to Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet or any other medicines. Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet should not be taken in the conditions like kidney disease and muscle weakness. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before starting Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet . Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet should not be used in children below 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not established. Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness it is advisable to you do not drive unless you are alert.

Do not take Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet if you are allergic to Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet or other pain killers. Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet should not be taken in the conditions like kidney disease, liver disease or heart disease. Inform your doctor before taking Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet if you have or had bleeding, asthma, edema (swelling in hands and feet), skin rashes and blood disorder. Before taking Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet inform your doctor if you have muscle weakness. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before starting Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet . Drug-Drug Interaction: Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet may have interaction with a blood thinner (warfarin), anticancer medicines (methotrexate), medicines for heart disease (propranolol), anti-allergies (prednisolone), medicine for the fit disorder (carbamazepine), pain killer (paracetamol).

Drug-Food Interaction: Drinking alcohol should be avoided while taking Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet as it can cause unpleasant effects.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Ketoflam-T 4 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, muscle weakness, asthma and edema (swelling in hands and feet).

• Follow heat or cold therapy, apply a cold or hot compress on the affected area for 15-20minutes regularly.
• De-stress yourself by meditating, reading books, taking a warm bubble bath or listen to soothing music.
• Acupuncture, massage and physical therapy may also be helpful.
• Eat food rich in antioxidants such as berries, spinach, kidney beans, dark chocolate, etc.
• Foods containing flavonoids help in reducing inflammation. These include soy, berries, broccoli, grapes and green tea.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

• Discontinue use with upon symptoms of liver damage such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, dark urine, jaundice or pruritus and consult your doctor immediately.
• High dose could turn urine color to green, consult your doctor immediately.
